PARKETLAK AQUA - WATER-BASED FLOOR (PARQUET) VARNISH FOR INTERNAL USE - KOOPMANS VERF

Properties: KOOPMANS VERF PARKETLAK AQUA floor varnish is water-based, transparent, low-odor, non-yellowing and with a satin texture for indoor use. PARKETLAK AQUA floor varnish dries quickly and is ideal if you want to treat the floor on the same day, as it can be repainted after about 6 hours. This means you can apply one coat in the morning and the second coat in the afternoon.
KOOPMANS VERF PARKETLAK AQUA floor varnish is water-soluble and provides a wear-resistant and scratch-resistant finish.
It is very resistant. It is ideal for application to wooden parquet floors that have been subjected to heavy wear. It is also excellent for applying a transparent finish to wooden stairs, wooden table tops and wooden doors.

Instructions for use:

New wood: Prime the new wood with a coat of PARKETLAK AQUA varnish. Then sand lightly with fine sandpaper or ScotchBrite. Prime the surface with PARKETLAK AQUA varnish. Finish the surface with PARKETLAK AQUA water-based floor varnish.

Existing wood:
Completely remove old layers of varnish until the wood is smooth and bare and then treat as new wood.
If necessary, paint these bare areas to the desired color intensity.
Then sand lightly with fine sandpaper or ScotchBrite. Pre-paint the surface with PARKETLAK AQUA floor varnish. Finish the surface with PARKETLAK AQUA water-based floor varnish.

Note: The best result is achieved by completely removing the old varnish layers. The remains of the old varnish layers will always remain visible after repainting, due to the color difference compared to the bare areas. Always apply at least two coats, preferably three. The first coat may have a slightly whitish appearance (haze), but this will disappear completely with the second coat.
