Natural wood care for teak and other kinds of wood with high fat content.
• removes light greying and dirt
• revitalizes the wood colour and natural wood grain
• water resistant
• resistant to many household chemicals
• weather-proof
• low odour
• easy to use
Areas of application: For treatment, care and freshening up of interior and exterior teak wood, for example garden furniture, boat or ship decks. Not suitable for inside cupboards or drawers, because the lack of oxygen and light delays the drying, which can in turn result in an unpleasant smell (long-lasting linseed odour).
Not suitable for varnished surfaces where the varnish has left a thick film or surfaces that have been coated with wax, but only for raw wood surfaces or surfaces coated with oil.
Coverage: 18 m² / Liter (according to absorbency and surface texture)
Storage/disposal: Store in well sealed original containers in a cool place protected from frost. Leftover varnish must undergo special treatment in compliance with the official regulations. Recommended waste code according to the European waste directory: 08 01 11 (the final determination must be coordinated through the regional waste utility). Dried residues can be disposed of in the normal household rubbish.
Safety precautions: Soak used rags in water due to the danger of auto ignition and dispose of them. The product itself is not self-igniting.
Preparation: The wood surface must be clean and dry.
Application (Surface temperature > 15 °C, residual moisture content of wood 8–12 %):
Shake thoroughly before use. Apply Teak oil liberally but above all evenly with a rag or pad in the direction of the grain. After 30-60 minutes buff briefly or wipe off any surplus oil that has not been absorbed. According to wear and exposure apply 2-3 coats. Only apply one coat per day. Test Teak oil on an inconspicuous place, in order to check for example the compatibility with previously used oils. Ventilate well during application and drying.
